Let Me In Your Dreams Tonight

As I lay in bed
Staring at the ceiling
I watch the car lights flash by.
The tears trickle down my cheeks
And drip onto my pillow.
Images of you and I
Pass before my eyes.
Images of when you cared
And loved and cherished the moments
We spent together
But what made me cry
Were the images that said
You didn’t care
And you wanted your freedom
Oh, let me in your mind
Let me in your dream tonight
Let me tell you how I feel
And see if it will change us
Try to understand as I have
That there are limits to my patience,
And you are who breaks boundaries
I love you
More than anything
Yet I feel, sometimes
You don’t care.
